The legend of Spyro
Cynder's Darkest Secret
Chapter 9: nothing
When I got to Gaul's huge fortress, I was immediately sent to their well hidden dungeon. It was dark and cold; there were few torches and nothing to keep it warm. I was surprised that there were others; men, women and children as well. I saw that they had a job to do, too. Some worked on cleaning, some to make food
some to be fire wood. But the worst 'job' for them was to be a Troll's dinner.
Before they put me into one of their filthy cells, the apes wanted to wash me. I was placed in the middle of the showering room. The apes would take huge buckets, filled with water, and throw at me. Not only was it cold, it was also painful; the amount of water presser would hit me quite hard.
After that they would put me in one of their cells. The dungeon was quite; that was only positive thing about it. I was also lucky not to be sent to 'work'; Gaul said that Malefor wants me to be healthy. So I had only one thing to do: wondering what the others were doing. Each day I would hope that they wouldn't come for me. They had more important things to do.
But each night I would have the same nightmare; it caused me to scream before I woke up. The guards would come as fast as they could to see what was going on. When they would leave, I would think about my nightmare: nothing
Nothing was my fear, I feared emptiness. After a few days, the guards were used of hearing my screams, so they wouldn't come.
The dungeon was the most boring thing ever.
In Warfang
The dragons and moles were creating more and more catapults, armor and weapons for their upcoming battle. Everyone was doing a job; nobody was sitting there doing nothing because their army had to win the battle. Spyro was the one doing the most work; he thought it would keep his mind off of me.
"Spyro, you should take a break, you've worked the hardest in all of us." Terrador said to him.
"No, I've lost Ignitus and Cynder; I'm not losing another one! When I lost Ignitus in the belt of fire, Cynder was there with me. Now, she's gone, so I'm alone." He said furiously.
"Don't worry about her, Spyro. She made a choice, and we must respect her choice. Anyway, she gave us another chance to win another battle." Said Terrador.
"Well, I don't respect it; it's not the 1st time that Cynder left! Whether she likes it or not, I'm ganna get her out of there, and nothing will stop me!"
"And you will, Spyro. But we need you for the upcoming battle." He said to Spyro putting an arm on his shoulder.
Spyro sighed, "Okay Terrador, I'll be part of the battle. I think that's what Cynder wanted
" He said giving a small grin at Terrador.
As they continued their work, this time, they were positive for a triumph.
